Direct-response advertising can work without massive cut-out coupons or obtrusive phone numbers. The Observer had a weekly feature “Room of my own”. They were kind enough to let us subvert this editorial with our ad’, which run on the spread straight after theirs. We also created an advert for the Sunday Times editorial.
